So I have a rock band 2 for ps3 and guitar hero 3 les paul extra wireless guitars.

I used one switch guide for setting up the guitar it work real well, only thing I suggest if your good arm is your right arm, which means you will be playing lefty. Then do not put the jack hole where his guide tells you to, I made that mistake on my first guitar.

I will show you pics and tell you the supplies you need and where to get them in the US and prices.

Now the drums were a hole other story, his guide uses a rock band 1 drum set, well if you got rock band 2 the boards are completely different. I will show you pictures and tell you an even easier way and quick way to make drums one handed.

For the Guitar:
1-use one switch guide for basic diagram if where to splice into the strum bar (I am thinking of splicing into a whammy bar also on my next one)

2-for your switch to control the strum I suggest these two pedals, either:
* buy portable drum kit by mad catz for XBOX360 (it works on all, also useful for drumming read below) and it comes with a real guitar like pedal with small pressing and long cord (which is needed to reach guitar jack when standing up)
$29.99 best buy
OR
* block head Rhythm Maker pesal, works on all systems and games, I got it on ebay for 15.00 I think. I love it because its heavy so doesnt move and you can adjust how far down you have to step on the pedal, which you want as little as possible for strumming

3- 22 gauge stranded wire i got mine at radio shack big role for 6.00

4- Soldering Iron multi 15-30 max $11 radio shack

5- rosin core .22mm or fine soldering flux

6- heat shrink tubing for the 22 gauge wire

7- head phones jacks (6-10 for drums and other guitars)I order mine best place in US I found at kv connection in CT their $3.48 each product code B-CA-C493

8- hot glue gun and glue

that is everything you need to do guitars, I will get pictures up in a day or so and let you know how whammy bar goes.

I have to run some errands so later I will post up the info on the drums.

I played all day yesterday had so much fun

So I have been kicking butt with the guitar, I am waiting till i take the guitar a part again to tie into the whammy bar, about a week or so and until I finish building my portable pad platform under the drum set to show pics.

Congrats on the mod. Luckily I've never needed to mod the guitar. My thumb on my right hands actually works fairly well. But the drums were another story. I'd always get halfway through a song and my drum stick would go flying. I finally started rubber-banding and/or hairbanding my right drum stick to my thumb in order to maintain the grip while still allowing for bounce. I've now progressed to Expert drumming on some of the easier songs.

But of course, none of that could keep the plastic piece of crap from snapping in half one day while playing. Ended up screwing brass plates into the broken pieces to reconnect them.

When you think about it, it's pretty lame that a man with barely a grip on the stick could still break the drums.
