xbox_down.jpgWell it was only a matter of time given how litigious we are in this world. For those that are not all over Xbox Live on a daily basis you may not know this, but Xbox live has been real hit or miss during this past holiday season. Many users were not able to get on to Live for days. These things happen, Microsoft did a huge media blitz leading up to Christmas, so a lot of people got a new Xbox under the tree. Well this onslaught of new users brought the system down; but unlike Apple the year before who had a iTunes crashing because of all the new Ipods under the tree, Microsoft was not able to recover for weeks, Apple in less than a day.

So it did not take a visit to the Oracle to see that the lawsuit coming, and on Friday three Texans filed that lawsuit on behalf of all Xbox users who were left out in the cold. Microsoft has said that it will do something to make up for the loss time, a download of some sort.

We will see, poor Microsoft, they are being sued every time they turn around.

1. How about giving Xbox Live for free?
Microsoft could always give us all Xbox Live for free then they wouldn't have the problem of people complaining about outages. The Sony PS3 comes with te PS3 Network for free, so why are Xbox users having to pay (the only satisfaction I come up with on this one over my mate who has a PS3 is that his console cost over £100 more than mine, which easily pays for 2 1/2 years of Xbox Live - but then again he did get Blu-ray built in as well!)
